NAD stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucletide. It actually is a coenzyme in our body. It has an important role in managing stress and keeping people mentally focused. It is a naturally occurring co-enzyme in our body.

Another published study (Frontiers in Bioscience: A Journal and Virtual Library) found evidence that “NAD+ administration may be a novel strategy for decreasing brain damage in cerebral ischemia and possibly other… associated neurological diseases.”

One important function of NAD is reducing the death of neurons damaged by traumatic brain injuries. This one may even prevent neuronal death following brain injuries, stroke, and Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), which is a temporary blockage of blood flow to the brain, often called a mini-stroke.
